Another Bumper Year for the Art Show

President Brian Kewley and the Committee of the 2011 Flinders Art Show wishes to express sincere thanks to all in the Flinders community and surrounding areas for the donations and patronage up to and during the 2011 Flinders Art Show.

The donations of cash, goods and services provided a platform for the fund-raising on the Queen’s Birthday weekend.  The participation by 203 artists exhibiting 483 paintings contributed to a Show of high quantity and quality.

Seventy seven paintings were sold at an average price of $564 and together with the proceeds from Community donations, catalogue advertising, the raffle and silent auction, the Committee has been able to distribute a total of $27,960 to 20 charities and community groups on the Mornington Peninsula.

The Show operated efficiently due to the reliable performance of our suppliers and the untiring efforts of our volunteers.

Once again, thanks to all who participated in the event.  We hope that you have the same sense of satisfaction from the outcome that is felt by the Committee.
