Five Oaks
Five Oaks is a four bedroom, three bathroom holiday house on The Esplanade, Flinders, Vic 3929 Australia, in a high, quiet, low traffic area with sunrise over water and a bay or ocean view from every room. Magnificent views of Bass Strait, Seal Rocks, The Nobbies, Phillip Island and the entrance to Western Port. Easy access to Kennon Cove beach, picnic area and pier 300m. Two minute drive to Flinders ocean surf beach. For rental by the day or by the week. Basic tariff $300 per night but ask about summer and public holidays.
Western Port is a safe, deep water harbour used extensively by pleasure craft, fishing boats and commercial shipping. It is also home to a large pod of Bottlenose Dolphins. The Western Port pilot boat is moored at Flinders pier, also used by nearby Flinders Yacht Club, visiting yachts and other craft. Short walk to Flinders Village shops, hotel, cafés, restaurants etc., tennis courts, Bowling Club and Public Golf Course. Flinders, until 50 years ago just a fishing village, is part of Australian history through the voyages of Matthew Flinders and as the base station for the first undersea cable linking the mainland with Tasmania.
